🕯️ Faith Once Reformed, Still Reforming — Final Reflection
The Word Still Burns
📅 Reformation Day — October 31, 2025
Five centuries ago, a monk with trembling hands nailed ninety-five sentences of conviction to a wooden door. He did not seek to start a revolution but to recall a Church to repentance.
That sound — the hammer striking oak — was not rebellion’s cry but grace’s thunder.
For the last month, we have walked from Augustine’s battle for grace to Calvin’s city under the Word; from the Solas of the Reformation to the confessions that endure. We have traced the golden thread of God’s mercy through centuries of faithfulness and failure alike — and found, again and again, that every generation must rediscover the same gospel flame.
The Reformation was not a museum piece; it was a movement of the Spirit through the Word.
It did not exalt men — it magnified Christ.
It did not end in 1517 — it continues wherever the Church bows before Scripture and lifts her eyes to the glory of God alone.
Today, in 2025, we live in another age of confusion — moral, spiritual, and ecclesial. Yet the same remedy remains: the Word of God opened, the grace of God proclaimed, and the people of God reformed.
The fire that lit Wittenberg still burns wherever the gospel is preached, wherever Christ is exalted, and wherever sinners rest in sovereign mercy.
So on this Reformation Day:
Let pulpits thunder again with truth.
Let families teach their children the faith once delivered.
Let believers stand upon Scripture as their final authority, grace as their only hope, and Christ as their sufficient Savior.
Let every breath, every prayer, every act of obedience echo the Reformers’ cry —
> Soli Deo Gloria.
To God alone be the glory.

🔖 Series Benediction
May the Lord who reformed His Church by His Word reform our hearts again —
until every thought is captive to Christ,
every home a small Geneva,
every life a living doxology,
and every nation hears the gospel that still saves.
Happy Reformation Day, dear pilgrims.
The hammer still rings. The Word still burns.
And grace — still — reigns.
